"As many of you have heard already, my brother Soren was injured while riding a machine too close to the ocean without properly securing himself near the controls. Following the accident, it was difficult for us to perform, as important parts of Soren's body were twisted, swollen and numb. The women in our neighborhood were giving us dirty looks if we passed by on our way to buy a bagel or someother such thing. It was very hard, and it took a toll on our creative energies, our bodily electricities and our earthly prides.

So we decided to go back home and let Soren recoup in the calm and quiet of our birthplace, Jakalavaara. Mico and I massaged and exercised Soren's broken parts, while secretly stealing away at night to record the strange and beautiful natural beats and rhythms of the field and forest. Soren had no idea we were working on new music! But we couldn't help it. Finland is a magical place.

When Soren's body had all but shrunk to its original size and he no longer relied on Luskaasa Tea to dull his pains, we played him some of the new rough tracks..... and you should have seen his mouth water! These early sounds were to become the foundation for our new incarnation as a musical group, our rebirth into the arms of our ancestral mother, a homecoming of experimental awakening. ParaGonePark now called LORDS of the FJORDS.

This weekend, we marked our return to the United States with a concert at Club Midway, performing with one of our favorite American avant-garde electro pop rockers, Heloise and the Savoir Faire. Soren was back on both his feet, though still a bit tingly down the left leg; but his renewed energy was legendary, and PGP/Lords of the Fjords rocked it hard with several new songs, including the title track from our upcoming album, Club UnderWorld."

Finally we're "Giving Respect to Independent Musicians, Innovators and Entertainers" instead of just giving more awards to celebrities.... this year, the festivities were held at Mo Pitkin's in the East Village, NYC..... awards went to Anna Copacabana, MC Juicy, Para-Gone Park, Jew B, Milky Whyte and Biometry..... what a show!!

The cast of F in the A had a very busy new year, performing around the country with a preview of songs from their star-studded musical. We've heard F in the A is coming to NYC for real this summer.... fingers crossed!!

These guys may not be the most talkative pair (it is rumored that the short-haired brother learned English by listening to The Best of Billy Joel on constant loop for two straight years) but they sure know how to stir up a crowd..... like when they surprised fans during an MC Juicy appearance at Mo Pitkin's in NYC by sneaking onstage and performing backup for "Jamba J". Maybe it was all just press for their newly released video, "Blog Song." And we have a copy!!

It’s probable that kissing has never dominated a discussion about a musical as much as it did when Soren Bjornjork and H Ryan Flanagan came to NYC recently to promote their incest love story, “Flowers in the Attic .” It is the first play the 19-year-old stars have appeared in together since “Wet Downstairs” in 1994. Their kissing scene in it was voted this year’s onstage best, an award they also picked up for “Wet Downstairs.”

Winterbottem Home Video Makes SternGirl a household item

On January 1, Winterbottem Home Video will release The Best of SternGirl 2006 on DVD with a year's worth of drama, music and laughs..... the "special edition" DVD is said to include outtakes, never before seen back-stage footage and appearances by musical guests MC Juicy, Mama Stern and Para-Gone Park.
